Many of us think of grief as something that happens only when someone we love dies. But in reality, we grieve much more than that. Grief is a natural and ongoing part of the human experience. We encounter small losses every day - our bodies age, our life circumstances change, and our planet suffers.
In this compassionate and supportive workshop, we will combine various forms of yoga, somatic movement, breathwork, singing, and ritual to help us process grief and allow it to become a source of transformative healing. Together, we will explore ways to move forward through the ever-evolving journey of grief and healing.
I will also share my own personal process of navigating painful loss, and how these practices have helped me find a healthy path through grief - one that supports and honours each person’s unique experience.
The workshop includes:
Gentle somatic practices - learning to move the body with intention and awareness
A guided meditation on grief
Learning healing songs and mantras
Practices that allow you to take a “holiday” from the mind, as well as ways to sit with and gently surrender to painful emotions
Space for sharing and reflection
